Today, Guy Salmon Bristol opens for business with the ‘lockdown launch’ of its all-new state-of-the-art Jaguar Land Rover showroom. Striving to bring its customers even more convenience during the lockdown, Guy Salmon is delivering a suite of online and remote services from its new premises. The new 72,000sq/ft landmark building unites Guy Salmon Bristol’s separate Jaguar and Land Rover sites, which are currently located on opposite sides of the city, in a new, luxurious and spacious showroom which will be welcoming customers as soon as national lockdown restrictions have eased.

The £12.3m development, spanning 3.7 acres, is set across two interior floors with space for 22 new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles on the ground floor and 20 approved used vehicles on the second floor. A further 70 approved used vehicles can be parked outside, with parking for up to 236 cars available on the roof of the building to optimise space.

Guy Salmon Bristol joins the rest of the Jaguar Land Rover UK retailer network in its new ‘Jaguar on Demand’ and ‘Land Rover Anywhere’ services, which give buyers the option of buying their Jaguar or Land Rover from the comfort of their home. Jaguar Land Rover significantly expanded its online and remote retail capabilities over the past year with the gradual roll-out of browse-buy-drive sales solutions that cover online part-exchange valuations, finance quotes, finance applications and reservations.

Guy Salmon Bristol will operate on a click-and-collect basis for service and repairs. Vehicle handovers are conducted with strict social distancing measures in place, ensuring ultimate safety and convenience. The ‘Jaguar on Demand’ and ‘Land Rover Anywhere’ online services enable customers to complete full 360-degree video walk arounds, order and take delivery of a new or used vehicle, as well as remote concierge services to ensure the protection of customers and staff whilst maintaining the highest levels of care and personal attention. Physical appointments alongside test drives will be available once restrictions ease, in line with the latest government guidance.

Simon Crane, head of business at Guy Salmon, said: “As the Jaguar Land Rover range has evolved and grown since our Jaguar and Land Rover showrooms were established in Bristol, our sales and aftersales experience needed to evolve with them. What we’ve created with this new landmark building in Bristol is a luxurious space for our customers not just to use, but to enjoy. We now have the space and facilities to showcase the entire spectrum of the Jaguar Land Rover range, shining the brightest possible light on these great vehicles for our customers in Bristol and beyond.”

As with all new Jaguar Land Rover sites, the interior is characterised by the use of luxurious materials and stylish furniture throughout. Customers are encouraged to enjoy the new showroom by taking a leisurely browse of the new and used vehicles on display and take advantage of the customer lounge and coffee bar. For those customers who are at the stage of choosing their paint and interior trim options, there is a gallery-style specification area that houses colour and materials samples to help customers realise their dream Jaguar or Land Rover.

Service customers also benefit from an all-new on-site facility. Featuring greater capacity from its 29 car service ‘bays’, and a host of new diagnostics and repair technology, the new facility is fully equipped to service across both Jaguar and Land Rover marques, including their respective plug-in hybrid and fully electric models. A new three-lane drive-in system service reception offers customers a valet style check-in, delivering optimum service standards and convenience – throughout lockdown and beyond.

Rawdon Glover, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK, said: “Jaguar Land Rover is delivering a model line-up packed with luxury, innovation and flair, and we’re delighted with the commitment of our retail partners like Guy Salmon Bristol in delivering a sales experience befitting the range. This new site represents an important investment into our retailer network in the south west of England, and we look forward to seeing it used and enjoyed by new and existing customers alike.”
