Tata Chemicals donates oxygen concentrators to Nellore district administration in Andhra Pradesh

Five oxygen concentrators given, each with 10 litre per minute capacity

Mambattu: With the second wave of Covid-19 and rising cases, the shortage of oxygen supply has become a nationwide crisis. To help combat this crisis, Tata Chemicals has stepped up its efforts by extending support to the communities in and around Mambattu by procuring and donating five oxygen concentrators to the Nellore district administration through its CSR arm, TCSRD (Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development).

As part of the company’s Covid relief efforts, the oxygen concentrators were handed over to K Chakradhar Babu, Nellore District Collector, by Tata Chemicals representatives, Biswaroop, business head, Tata Chemicals Mambattu, and K Suresh, site head, Tata Chemicals Mambattu, along with other employees.

The oxygen concentrators, each with a capacity of 10 litre per minute, will be used to treat patients with breathing difficulty and provide oxygen at saturation levels as low as 85 in mild to moderately serious cases of Covid-19.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Tata Chemicals has been committed to serving the communities in which it operates. Recently, the company also donated oxygen concentrators to the authorities in Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu.
