New Delhi: Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), a leading utility supplying electricity to a populace of 7 million in North Delhi, has launched an exclusive scheme for its consumers on a new energy-efficient product range of super-efficient ceiling fans in collaboration with Crompton. These fans use ActivBLDC (brushless direct current motor) technology, which makes them more efficient than non-5-star-rated fans.

With this launch, Tata Power-DDL has added another energy-efficient product to its existing product portfolio of LED bulbs, tube lights and ACs. The company aims to promote the use of energy-efficient products among its consumer base, which will result in energy savings and reduction in electricity bills.

This new fan range of Crompton comes with a special feature through which the fan consumes lower electricity as compared to a normal fan. These fans, with their unique technology, save up to 50 percent electricity. The new range of fans is financially and environmentally the smart choice for consumers. As compared to a conventional ceiling fan, a ceiling fan with ActivBLDC technology can generate the same amount of airflow with less energy use and better power factor.

Commenting on the launch, Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO, Tata Power-DDL, said, "Tata Power-DDL has been a frontrunner in introducing energy-efficient and safe electrical products for its customers. Keeping the same momentum forward, we have launched the energy-efficient ceiling fan programme in association with Crompton, exclusively for our consumers. Use of energy-efficient products will result in substantial saving of energy, so I urge our consumers to avail this scheme in large numbers.”

The fans are available at Tata Power-DDL’s energy-efficient products sales counters situated across all customer care centres on working days between 10:00am to 03:00pm (Monday to Friday) and 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday. They can also be booked online at www.tatapower-ddl.com.

The fans are available in various colour options and carry a 5-year on-site warranty from the date of purchase.
