In its endeavour to digitise its exhibitions, Tata Central Archives has now made its second exhibition — ‘JRD Tata (1904 -1993)’ — available in a virtual tour format on its website.
The exhibition was inaugurated on July 29, 2021, by Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons.
This exhibition narrates the story of JRD Tata, right from his birth to his accession to chairmanship of the Tatas group. It describes JRD’s passion for aviation and the commemorative flights undertaken by him. The exhibition also displays the honours bestowed on JRD and includes glimpses of his long friendships and associations with celebrities in India and abroad.
Each section showcases photographs, letters, memorabilia and other relevant documents.
