Tata Power-DDL bags Golden Peacock Award for promotion and adoption of energy efficiency initiatives

Award presented under the 'power distribution' category

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power distribution company serving a populace of 7 million in the national capital, has been presented with the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Award for Energy Efficiency’ for the year 2020 under the 'power distribution' category, by the awards jury under the chairmanship of Justice MN Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India.

The ‘Golden Peacock Award for Energy Efficiency’ is awarded to stimulate and help organisations to rapidly accelerate the pace of stakeholder-oriented improvement process.

Eleven different companies were presented the award for their respective sectors under the ‘energy efficiency’ category. Dwijadas Basak, chief, Commercial and Social Impact Group, received the award on behalf of the company from Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, and Girish Chandra Murmu, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, during the virtual award ceremony.
